easter yum!

Easter Scone boxes and Easter Jam!!
Time to pull out the fancy Martha Stewart 
treat boxes... AND, I just noticed there is a crazy
sale going on at Martha on these very treat boxes and 
all of the wonderful paper that dreams are
made of. Go here to buy some. Major! 
update: the sale is over and the paper products are gone!!

awesome mini scone recipe with us!!

'Bread Alone' , a fictional novel that includes 
yummy pastry recipes! below!



Scones from 'Bread Alone'

ingredients :
3 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, chilled and cubed
1 cup milk
1 egg
zest of orange
optional:
1 cup cranberries soaked in orange juice
1/2 cup pecans

directions :
mix dry ingredients together. 
(flour, sugar, baking powder, salt)
whisk egg milk and orange zest
add milk mixture to dry mixture and add
optional fruit and nuts. 
roll out to 3/4" thick with a rolling pin...
cut into desired shapes. we cut cute triangles
bake @ 375 degrees for 25 minutes and 
VOILA!
