Obsessed!

I am so in love with these Osborn shoes that I do not know what to
do with myself. Coming off of my oxford high, still in love
with my Guatemalan batwing jacket, and day dreaming
about ankle booties for fall - I am so hooked on these shoes.
Made in Guatemala and so distinct and amazing.
Which ones do I choose!?

Pooped!

womp womp womp. All I have to offer is snapshots
from the weekend.
Ava got her early birthday present, mostly because
I could not deal with the drama of another item
on my checklist.
Best is that we got them from the rink so they
are super duper fancy with crazy fuzzy green boot covers
(inside) to keep them from getting scuffed!
Slept in them on the way home from the rink.
While out and about, we went to the grower for some
new tree friends. We found some. And, I took
home the bonzai junipers in the vintage Santas too.
How I love vintage Santa! yay me.
There was an EXTREME level of planting
happening this weekend.  We are running a plant
grows bigger, gets transferred into a new pot
every two weeks program around here.
Some of the bigger planties got new permanent
homes this weekend. The 'side' garden has
wrapped around the corner.
More pots.
Friend breezed in and out. Brought
Cambodian luxuries...
And, there was some succulent replanting as well.
Side note.. these new Paul Green 'Evony' sandals of mine
are making me kind of happy. They are like walking
on big pillows! I highly recommend them!!
I know, quite the snoozefest. There were some fab
parties and dinners in there.
Perhaps I will have more to offer tomorrow.

mine!

It is really a small miracle when you see vintage shoes that are
over size 8. People were just smaller in the past? ha.
Anyway.. these are mine! All mine!
Although, my shoe desires are not fully satisfied at this
moment. I have become weather-inappropriately
obsessed with the ankle boot.
I think I will have to carry this obsession through summer and
then do something about it.

love love

It is really amazing how affordable cute shoes are getting!
This is why I love Jeffrey Campbell

'Mary Rocks' at the Need Supply Co. for $118!
[Seen on Notcouture - so good for little surprises]
i am a sucker for affordability.
Remember THESE?

The wait is over!

I have been patiently waiting to find some new-vintage
oxfords since the summer.
A lover of pastels in the winter, I was sad to find that
these were not my size.

I dreamed about them. I sketched them into lines of clothing.
I waited patiently until a new pair in my elephant size 9 showed up.
But it became clear that a pair of size 9 vintage oxfords was not going
to show up this season.

So, I decided that I would go get a new new
 pair yesterday at Bloomies.
Bloomies has a lot to offer in the oxford department...

from Bloch

After looking online, I decided that I would look
for this pair when I went into
the store. But, then I forgot what I had decided and ended
up trying on five pairs instead.
And.. my favorite were these bad boys.

But in this  already dirtied color...

Yay me! It's life transformation time.. new shoes, getting my
hair did and I worked out yesterday(yes).

even poor people can have fun!

Apparently, the hot news broke this morning on WWD that
Jimmy Choo is doing a line for H&M. The line will
debut on November 14th(a little late for the bday, tear)
with a limited Spring 10 collection. I feel excited.

A press shot of two new shoes for H&M

I was distraught earlier in the year when I could
not rationalize the over $1100 purchase of the super hot
Glenys shoe. The ads for this shoe made me extremely
desperate to the point of tearing them out and collecting them.
But there is new hope today.. perhaps some affordable cuteness
is in our future??
